Full Moon Total Lunar Eclipse in Scorpio 2022 Horoscopes

The Full Moon Total Lunar Eclipse at 25° Scorpio is exact on Sunday, May 15 at 11:14 PM CT. 

The Moon in Scorpio is bringing its sacred, passionate energy in alignment with the South Node in Scorpio. Scorpio has a deep affinity for the past and solving mysteries, and here we find that focus even more intensified as it opens the records of the South Node. Questions and discoveries about past lives or ancestors could be revealed. 

It feels like mysterious file cabinets locked away and covered in dust that are opened with just the right key. 

However, we do have to remember that this is an eclipse, and not just that but a total lunar eclipse, which we don't always have. Eclipses can be partial or full, so with a Full Moon and Total Eclipse there is a clear ending. With Scorpio we may see secrets revealed, yet secrets locked away. 

Mars and Neptune are conjunct in Pisces and harmonizing with this Moon to bring spiritual breakthroughs and sacred rememberings. From another perspective, these planets could harmonize to bring the right conditions for theft and hiding assets. 

The key to the current energetic moment is to have a beginner’s mindset. Don’t expect the rules to work the way they always have simply because that’s how it has always been. 

Right now the PACE we are moving is shifting. 

Not necessarily faster. Not necessarily slower. Just… shifting. 

The New Moon Partial Solar Eclipse that occurred in Taurus on April 30 was a major push in the direction of what you’ve been working towards since November of 2021. You can read more about this entire eclipse cycle that runs through the end of 2023 here. You'll want to take time to read this particularly if you have significant Scorpio, Taurus, Leo or Aquarius placements. 

A boost might have come on May 10 when Jupiter entered Aries—its first time in a new sign since December 2021. Jupiter is an expansive energy and when it is in Aries there can be an explosion of heat or energy. 

The daily highs where I live have nearly doubled since last week and we are now having 90° weather daily (compared to average high 70’s and mid-80’s). I was just wearing a winter coat on some morning walks days ago and now it’s time to put all of the winter clothes away. 

That’s the kind of jarring that you might experience in the transition between Jupiter in Pisces and Jupiter in Aries.

While Jupiter was in Pisces through the beginning of 2022, we were integrating a long process of learning, unlearning and relearning. You might have felt somewhat done with spaces or institutions that were supportive to you for many years, maybe even over a decade. Throughout the beginning of 2022 you knew it was time to say goodbye. These places were no longer expansive for you. 

You are not completely done with the integration of what you’ve learned, because Jupiter will return to roughly 28-30° Pisces between October 28-December 28. If you were discussing growing or expanding in an area of your life—maybe finding something new to replace what you’d outgrown—during the first two weeks of May, know that there is something critical that will come to completion during the last two months of 2022. 

While Jupiter is in Aries from now through October 28, you are at the beginning of expanding into new terrain that feels exhilarating but also intense. You might feel like you’re coming off of five months of feeling like you had something figured out to jumping into something new with unsteady feet. 

Looking back to May 10, there might have been a quick decision that needed to be made in order for you to expand. Mercury stationed retrograde in Gemini that day and will remain retrograde through June 3, however Mercury will re-enter Taurus on May 22.

Briefly, conversations that took place between April 26 and May 10 might come back around, or what was initially a hypothetical investment might become actualized after May 22. Expect these decisions and commitments to be continuously under discussion through mid-June. If possible, wait to sign any papers until that point. 

Major action will be taken around what’s currently under discussion during the last ten days of August when Mars begins its journey through Gemini, which will last through March of 2023. 

As we look at the ways the present moment is connecting us to much larger shifts that will take place in March of 2023, we also have to talk about Pluto, who just stationed retrograde at 28° Capricorn on April 29. 

This is the last time that Pluto will be retrograde solely in Capricorn in our lifetime. Pluto has been traveling through Capricorn since November 2008 and will enter Aquarius on March 23, 2023. Pluto will revisit Capricorn twice more after March 2023 through retrogrades, but we are in the final stage of the generational influence of Pluto in Capricorn. 

As we experience Pluto retrograde from 28-26° Capricorn, we must take a critical look at the rules, systems, and structures that create the world around us. Taurus

It’s your favorite time of the year Taurus! The world is blooming and it’s all a celebration for you. The time has come for you to bloom as well and this Taurus season might feel critical. With the North Node and eclipses happening in your sign, you are experiencing major shifts in your life that put a major focus on YOU. At this Full Moon you might feel a powerful call to be of service to something greater. This invitation might require you to be seen in ways you don’t totally understand yet. While Mercury is retrograde in your own sign you need to make space for your brain to catch up with your Soul. Who you are and the role you play in the world is up for revision. There are many invisible parts of you rearranging right now and all you need to do is allow yourself to be here for this. In August you will feel ready to take much larger action around the shifts that you are currently experiencing.

Cancer

You might be filled with creative downloads during this Full Moon in Scorpio and channeling important messages for an audience. While Mercury is retrograde in your 12th house, you might feel like you’re connected to the Otherside on a deeper level but lacking the desire to put your messages out publicly. With Venus and Jupiter surrounding Chiron in Aries, there is supportive energy there to help you move past any wounds of being perceived incorrectly by others. If it feels like there is confidence available that you wouldn’t normally be able to access, lean into it. Trust your intuition and instincts even more than normal and allow your intuitive insights to be appreciated by others who want to see you grow.

While eclipses are rolling through Taurus and Scorpio, you are also experiencing major shifts in the foundations of your life. You might have recently had a major change in your home life and at this Full Moon in Scorpio you could be experiencing some grief. It’s normal to experience grief in major life changes and sometimes the biggest thing that will help us heal is time. Sometimes the most healing thing for our relationships and connections is time. If there is a new educational opportunity or something you’re excited to learn about, that can be a very supportive healing container for you not only right now but through 2023.

You are going places at this Full Moon in Scorpio, Virgo, but there are many people there to make this commitment. It is likely that you are making new commitments with significant people. You could be creating a new institution or organization with these people, but they are significant for more than just what they bring to this endeavor. Some of these people are there to support you in healing your belief that you have to do everything on your own. You might not be able to clearly see the way their actions are shaping your own destiny. On that note, while Mercury is retrograde in Gemini through May 22, it’s important for you to make decisions that will support your own interests. Since Jupiter entered your sign on December 28, 2021, you’ve been asked to expand but also integrate so much. There could be a cost that is associated with the end of this journey and your new endeavor, but you are still heading towards a hopeful new beginning. Even if there is a new expense or hole in something’s worth there should be additional support to outweigh the cost.
