Affirmations for Recovering People Pleasers

We’re rolling off an eclipse that had a real “ENOUGH” invitation, and some of you have likely made big life choices. Or you might be coming off of a grieving process over the person you were when you were doing all that you were “supposed to do.”

This is a tale I know well. From getting divorced to coming out and job hopping for years only to burn it down to move away and eventually become an astrologer. I know what it’s like to make big moves others find confusing and weird.

When my partner runs into people who have known me throughout the years they usually say, “It always seems like Ash is on an adventure.”

Which in Iowa is basically like, wow that bitch seems unstable. 🤪

Anyway, through all of this I have learned some things:

There will be times when respecting yourself will mean losing the respect of others.

There will be times when respecting yourself will mean being misunderstood.

There will be times when other people are going to have thoughts and feelings about how you live your life.

Don’t let this stop you from choosing yourself.

Don’t let this stop you from loving yourself.

Don’t let this stop you from being you.

Embrace the fact that you knowing yourself strikes terror into the systems that are meant to keep you from trusting and knowing yourself. And LIKING yourself!

Allow that to take you deeper on the journey within.
